PUMA Football teams South African and Ivory Coast go head-to-head tomorrow in the 17th annual Nelson Mandela Challenge friendly.

Captain Steven Pienaar will lead out an experimental Bafana Bafana side after coach Pitso Mosimane called-up several new names to the squad, as he runs the rule over his attacking options ahead of the 2013 African Cup of Nations tournament and World Cup qualifiers.

The Elephants have a strong squad to choose from and are set to include Premiership ace Yaya Touré just behind the front two in what is sure to be a closely fought encounter between two of Africa’s most entertaining and successful sides.

The Nelson Mandela Challenge was invented in 1994 and the prestigious match raises funds for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. Over the years it’s seen South Africa take on some of the world’s top sides and we’re expecting a close, highly tactical encounter and a fantastic atmosphere, which fittingly takes place at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
