Lexi Thompson did it again! After making history at the Navistar LPGA Classic earlier this year, the COBRA PUMA GOLF professional wins the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters and becomes the youngest professional winner on the Ladies European Tour.
Lexi headed into the final round with a one shot lead over fellow COBRA PUMA GOLF professional, Lee-Anne Pace. With 7 birdies in the final round, Lexi pulled ahead to win by four strokes.
Lexi wore her signature blue for the Sunday round in a Golf Skirt, Golf Duo Swing Novelty Polo, Cell Fusion shoes and matching hair ribbons. Her effortless style was functional too. The Duo Swing Novelty Polo wicks moisture away and kept Lexi cool in the Dubai heat and the ergonomically shaped sleeves provided ease of movement throughout her swing.
Earlier this year, Lexi won the Navistar LPGA Classic and filed a petiion for the LPGA to waive the age restriction and give her an LPGA Tour Card. COBRA PUMA GOLF launched the #LetLexiPlay campaign, with athletes such as Ian Poulter, Usain Bolt and Rickie Fowler showing their support by rocking the Let Lexi Play t-shirts. LPGA Commissioner, Mike Whan, waived the age restriction and Lexi will kick off her rookie year on the LPGA Tour in Australia in February, 2012.
